The Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Spikers delivered a convincing performance in Match 34 of the 2025 Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship, sweeping Senegal’s Sococim (SOC) 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-16) in the classification round.
Coming off a tough loss in the Round of 16, CNS responded with grit and purpose. The opening set was closely contested, with Sococim pushing hard early on. But CNS held their nerve under pressure, showing composure in the final points to edge it 25-23.
In the second set, CNS tightened their block and picked up their attacking rhythm. With improved service pressure and quick transitions, they controlled the tempo and gradually pulled away to take the set 25-18.
CNS maintained their dominance in the third set, capitalizing on Sococim’s defensive lapses and miscommunication. Strong net play and consistent serving allowed CNS to cruise to a 25-16 finish, wrapping up the match in straight sets.
Reflecting on their previous defeat, CNS appeared sharper and more focused, demonstrating the depth and resilience of their squad.
