NTF President Tayo Popoola Urges Nigerians to Embrace Love, Unity and Prayer as Ramadan and Lent Begin

Nigeria Taekwondo Federation President, Grand Master Tayo Popoola, has urged Christians and Muslims to use the Ramadan and Lent fasting season as a time for reflection, unity and prayers for Nigeria’s peace and socio-economic growth.

President of the Nigerian Taekwondo Federation, Grand Master Tayo Popoola, has called on Christians and Muslims across Nigeria and the global community to use the sacred seasons of Ramadan and Lent as a time of deep spiritual reflection, compassion and national intercession.

In a message conveyed through the Federation’s media unit, Popoola encouraged the faithful to approach the fasting period with sincerity, unity of purpose and a renewed commitment to peace.

“As we enter this season of fasting and prayer, it is a moment for sober reflection, selflessness and genuine love for one another. It is a time to show kindness, uphold peace and strengthen unity in line with the teachings of our faith,” she stated.

Popoola emphasised that both Ramadan and Lent present an opportunity for spiritual rebirth and personal renewal  values that should positively influence families, communities and the broader Nigerian society.

She further urged Nigerians to extend their prayers beyond personal needs to national development and stability.

“I charge all Nigerians to use this sacred period to pray for peace, unity and sustained socio-economic growth in our country. Through collective faith and shared compassion, we can strengthen the foundations of our nation,” she added.

The NTF President’s message underscores the importance of interfaith harmony, particularly at a time when both major religious communities observe significant spiritual milestones simultaneously.
