World 100m hurdles champion Tobi Amusan has linked up with Usain Bolt’s former coach Glen Mills in Jamaica for a special training camp aimed at reclaiming her dominance ahead of the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
The Nigerian star posted pictures on Instagram on Thursday showing intense track sessions. Amusan, who has battled niggling injuries, said the collaboration is part of her plan to peak in Tokyo.
“Working with Coach Mills is a dream. His knowledge is unmatched,” she wrote.
Athletics Federation of Nigeria officials are excited. AFN president Tonobok Okowa said the federation will support Amusan fully.
“Tobi is our flag bearer. We expect her to bring home more medals in 2025.”
Nigerians have sent messages of support. Many believe Amusan can break her own world record again if she stays injury-free.
