The Vice President of the Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF), Omonlei Yakubu Imadu, has expressed strong optimism that Nigeria can win at least six gold medals at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
Speaking after the conclusion of the national open trials, Imadu stressed that with early preparation, disciplined planning, and adequate support, the selected boxers have what it takes to deliver Nigeria’s best-ever boxing performance at the Games.
