The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has revealed details of a new 12-team professional league that will kick off in March 2025. NBBF president said the league is designed to produce more players for D’Tigress and D’Tigers.
The new format includes home-and-away matches and a playoff system. Several corporate sponsors have already shown interest.
“This is the beginning of a new era for Nigerian basketball,” the president said.
