The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike officially launched construction of a new multi-sports complex in Abuja, designed to provide world-class facilities for youth, grassroots athletes, and national teams.
The centre will feature modern indoor arenas, training pitches, and athlete accommodations, aimed at fostering talent development, hosting national tournaments, and supporting Nigeria’s preparations for continental and international competitions. Sports analysts praised the initiative as a crucial step toward improving Nigeria’s sports infrastructure and competitiveness on the global stage.
