The Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF) has officially announced the dates for the 2025 Nigerian National Tennis Open, which will be held in Lagos from March 15-22, 2025. The tournament, one of the most prestigious events in Nigerian tennis, will feature both men’s and women’s singles, doubles, and mixed doubles competitions.
The event will serve as a key platform for Nigeria’s top tennis players to compete for ranking points and the national title, while also providing an opportunity for emerging players to showcase their talent. The 2025 edition is expected to draw participants from across Africa and beyond, with international players eager to test their skills on Nigerian soil.
NTF president Sani Ndanusa expressed excitement about the upcoming event, noting that it aligns with the Federation’s goal of strengthening the development of tennis in Nigeria.
“The Nigerian National Tennis Open has always been an important fixture in our tennis calendar. We are committed to making it even more competitive and attracting talent from all over the world,” he said.
The 2025 National Open will also feature a special focus on youth development, with junior tournaments running alongside the main event. This will give young Nigerian players an opportunity to compete against top international juniors and gain valuable experience.
